Secret-EFX Omnia Bass Drive
With the OMNIA Bass Drive, you have both a clean boost and a heavy distorted sound at your fingertips!
Conceived as an expression tool, rather than an effect, the OMNIA Bass Drive was developed in conjunction with bassist Alex Lofoco to be touch sensitive and respond to the dynamic of your playing.
Dynamic, Transparent, Low-noise.
The original circuit is designed for greatest transparency, extremely low noise and maximum dynamic range – respecting the original tone of your instrument without losing the bottom end.
Equipped with a true bypass switch, this unit can be powered from 9V to 24V DC – centre negative – increasing the headroom and the dynamic response.
Set the amount of distortion, ranging from a clean boost to a heavy crunch distorted sound, using the GAIN control, your instrument’s master volume and the dynamics of your picking hand.
GAIN
The gain control is very powerful and can deliver a wide range of colours. Start with a clean tone with the gain set to zero and turn it up to discover several degrees of saturation. Max out the control all the way up to 11 for “that extra push over the cliff” to experience a fuzz-like distortion.
TONE
The tone is a passive control that shelves the treble without affecting the definition of your tone. It can be turned down to tame the rough edge of the distortion that some cabinets may over-emphasise.
VOLUME
The master volume control is positioned at the end of the circuit and only regulates the overall output of the unit without affecting the previous controls.
