Eastman T386 Thinline – Kent Armstrong Humbuckers in Sunburst uitvoering

De Eastman T386 is een volwaardige 16″ thinline die het beste van twee werelden combineert: de warme, open klank van een (semi) hollow body met het speelgemak en de feedbackbestendigheid van een elektrische gitaar. Dit is de gitaar voor de speler die jazz, blues of roots speelt — maar ook gewoon een veelzijdig instrument wil dat op elk podium thuishoort.

De pickups maken het verschil. De T386 is uitgerust met twee Kent Armstrong HPAN-1 humbuckers — Alnico magneten met een rijke PAF-karakter. Warm en vol op de hals, iets pittiger bij de brug, en samen een prachtig uitgebalanceerde middenpositie. Geen uitgesproken karakter in één richting, maar een gitaar die luistert naar jou.

De esdoorn hals met ebben toets speelt soepel en precies. Het “Traditional Even C” halsprofiel zit comfortabel in de hand — niet te dik, niet te dun. De 24.75″ mensuur geeft de snaren een heerlijk soepele spanning, ideaal voor bendings en akkoordspel.

Afwerking in nitrocelluloselak, ivoroid binding op body en hals, parelmoerinleg op de kop en toets — het zijn de details die laten zien dat Eastman het serieus neemt. Hardware van Switchcraft en Gotoh ronden het plaatje af.
